FINOWL / COMPANY LOOKUP

A domain. The company behind it.

Send a domain or a work email and get a public company profile: name, description, country, logo, social profiles, email provider and detected technologies. Built from the company's own website and DNS records.

Isometric domain card connected to a company block and a company profile.

HOW IT WORKS

One domain in.
A company profile out.

A single request turns the domain you already have into context your product can use.
STEP / 01

Send a domain or email

Post a domain such as stripe.com, or a work email address, authenticated with your API key.

STEP / 02

Read public sources

Finowl reads the company's homepage and its public DNS records, including mail servers and SPF.

STEP / 03

Get a company profile

Receive the name, description, country, logo, social profiles, email provider and technologies.

WHERE IT FITS

Know who signed up,
without asking twice.

  • Signup enrichment

Prefill the company name and logo from a work email, so new accounts need fewer form fields.

  • Lead routing

Route leads by country, language or detected tools, such as a CRM or email platform, to the right team.

  • Free email detection

Spot gmail.com and other free email domains, and skip company enrichment where there is no company.

Profiles come from what a company publishes about itself. Websites change, so treat the profile as a starting point and let people correct it.

THE RESPONSE

Clear fields. Honest limits.

Every response describes the company behind the domain, with unknown fields left empty rather than guessed.

Detected technologies come from public DNS records and the homepage, so tools used only behind a login will not appear.

name, description
The company's name and description as its own website presents them, or null when unknown.
country, country_code, language
Where the company appears to be based and the language of its website. Country is empty when unknown.
logo_url, social
An absolute logo URL and links to the profiles the website lists, such as LinkedIn, X or GitHub.
email_provider, technologies
The mail platform behind the domain and tools detected from DNS and the homepage, such as hubspot or shopify.
free_email_domain
True for free email providers like gmail.com. The name, description and logo are then null.
